Goldon, BC

Were it not for the fucking trains all day and all night this would have been the best camping experience of the trip. We camped right bedise the river. It was pretty.

Fields of Canola

I was changing a tire. I rolled the old tire out of my way so I could put a new one on. Unfortunately, it would not stop rolling. I had to chase it. I had to chase for quite a while as Saskatchewan is so damn flat one must be careful not to roll tires lest the tire rolls all the way to Alberta. This is me way out in a field standing over my kill - I successfully tracked and hunted the tire.

Kenora

Kenora was the best placed we camped on the trip. The campground was the cleanest nature I have ever experienced. This was are first real test of the camper. (The first time was in a WalMart parking lott so that doesn't count). This campground is actually right inside Kenora on the "Lake of the Woods".

This is how the boys enjoyed camping: with Nintendo DS in hand.

We didn't get a good picture of the lake (it's dark green like the forrest behind it). Declan, Darby, Ella and myself went for dip while Marla worked the dinner over the fire.

I made Marla pose for this picture. This is the spot where Marla lost her cat our trip from Victoria to Ottawa. This is just outside Kenora. We had travelled half to to Thunder Bay before Marla asked us to turn back for Madison who was patiently waiting behind that propane tank you see in the distance.

Back to the Cross Canada Trip

It has been a while but I'd have been way too busy to update the blog. So the following are not recent pictures. These are from our cross Canada trip when we stopped in Ottawa. My sister and her daughters were there. Yes, I know I am back-tracking since I believe I stopped my story in Sudbury.
