Car Coster Video

Sin Bin

Declan got his first two penalties ever in the same game!

He was really tired because as you can see they only had two spares for this game. This is on account of a BC ferries fuck up that didn't allow some of the team over in time to make it to the first game of the day. Add that to the fact that he was sick you can understand why he wanted to spend some time in penalty box.

TImbits

Darby chillin with some teammates between games. They had 45 minutes to kill so the kept their equipment on. There is no Tim Horton's in Powell River so Darby was very happy to see a box a Timbits in Parksville. I know that is his buddy drew on the left but I don't know who that other kid is.

Parksville Tournament

Yeah, another hockey tournament and another sick kid. This time Declan.

Gramma Lynne was able to drive down for the games on Friday. Odd coincidence (or not): Gramma Lynne was scheduled to spend the weekend in Powell River, the weekend we were on the Island in Parksville.

Darby is the farthest play in this picture. They only used half the ice surface for their games.

Gold RIver

Marla had to work the weekend Declan had a tournament in Gold River, BC so I took all the kids. The tournament was great, the boys had fun but Ella was sick to the point where she vomited in our van.

Declan prefer getting dressed in the hotel room than in the crowded dressing rooms.

This the view from our hotel. That is all of Gold River - its a tiny town; So tiny that coming from Powell River felt like we were coming from the big city.

Declan getting ready to hit the ice for the first game (he's the only one looking up).

I didn't take too many pictures because I was dealing with a sick Ella. THis is the only hald decent action shot I have Declan playing.

Toy Project

Declan got this cool car track for Christmas. It took us a week to build. Declan did build the majority of it without help. All I did was help connect the sections he built together (and his friend Alex did help build the base section on day). I also have a video of it running but it will take me some time to reduce the size of that video so its appropriate to post.
