Shark!

I thought I'd have time for one last post before I board the ferry today. Here's Wayne hauling in Daryl's catch. He caught three of these dogfish - we ain't in England where people apparently eat these things so Wayne cut them free each time.

Update

This obviously hasn't been updated in a while. I have a boatload of pictures from when Tracy, Daryl and Yvonne visited us recently; i hope to upload some soon. I don't expect to do so for another week though. Be patient.

Birthday cake

Darby blew out the candles before Marla had a chance to put the cake in front him

Darby is noticably distressed when Marla takes the cake to cut and serve it.
Marla rules with an iron fist, i mean finger.
Next we have a close up of the cake. Darby is working his way through a Ghostbuster obsession. They showed both Ghostbuster movies on father's day and he watched them both back-to-back in complete silence and amazement. (Later, I would hear him brag to another kid that he saw a movie with swearing in it). Because he loved the film so much I plopped down $4.99 at Walmart and bought the first one - I already got my money's worth. I rent the boys one video game each each month (Gramma bought us a calendar that has a 2-4-1 coupon for each month), and you guessed it, Darby insisted in renting the new Ghostbuster Wii game. I admit that the game is pretty entertaining - don't cross the streams! He'll be pissed when I have to return it to the store tomorrow. So Marla, taking note of his new obsession had her bakery make him this Ghostbuster cake. He was pleased.

Tracy and Daryl's Wedding

Well, we're just getting back from Tracy and Daryl's wedding. I'm a bit tired from all that travel but I have enough energy left to post a few pics I took while we were there. Where I was sitting we had a decent view but Ella and Declan thought it better from their vantage point.

We weren't invited to the reception which is fine because i don't recall a single moment in my life where I was ever in the mood for dancing.
