I almost forgot

Declan was working on making a bed for his Webkinz. (He started a second but got too tired - after dinner I am sure he'll be back out there).

Workshop

Declan is interested in building things. I bought him his own saw today - mine was too tough for him to use. He worked up quite the sweat sawing and hammering.

Eventually his brother realized what he was doing and wanted to help.

And of course Ella couldn't be left out either.

Backyard Visitor

Its the time of year when the wildlife come to town. We've noticed deer poop in our yard and garden the last few weeks but Marla finally caught one on camera.

Last week, a cougar was spotted about 200m from our house. Some dumb ass tried to shoot it but missed. I'm all for getting cougars out of the neighbourhood but not for yahoos with guns firing them off close to where I live. Two weeks ago, neighbours called us to coral our kids because they had just had bear in their backyard. Marla sees bear "evidence" when she walks to work now - and so she demands we pick her up if she gets off after dark.

Marla had the cake designed at her bakery. The black icing provided some fun for the boys.

Wii Balance Board

Marla is testing out the new Wii Fit and Wii Balance Board that arrived in the mail. We got it using Air Miles - my air miles! We're all getting lots of use of it.

Powell River Blackberry Festival
